Growing up on a farm in Indiana, Valerie Beeson-Lyles learned that perseverance and
hard work pays off. At the age of 9 she joined a local club for youth called 4-H and was
a member for 10 years. While most people would recognize 4-H for showing livestock at
the county fair, Valerie focused on a category called Home Furnishings. Here she won blue ribbons at the local
level as well as at the state fair.
Since she was a child, Valerie has been active in church, and during college she became very involved in
Campus Crusade for Christ. Campus Crusade had a large impact on Valerie, deepening her faith and teaching
her valuable skills such as studying the Bible on her own, and sharing her faith with others about Christ. After
graduating from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, she moved to Dayton, Ohio to
launch her design career.
In 1989 Valerie opened her own full service interior design firm. Her business is based on referral and repeat
clients throughout the Southeast. Beeson Lyles Interiors, Inc. focuses on commercial interior design and also
works with several residential clients. Having close to 30 years of experience in the industry, Valerie now
serves as a consultant for higher education design projects.
Ten years ago Valerie was inspired to follow her long held dream of speaking and writing. Valerie now shares
her passion for Bible study, prayer and interior design with others through discussion and presentations to
individuals, by speaking to small groups, and at seminars and retreats. She aspires to encourage, challenge
and motivate others to grow in their relationship with God.
Valerie lives with her husband of 26 years, Richard, in Atlanta, Georgia, and together they have two beautiful
daughters, Kaitlyn and Sarah.
